The mantra are words of the classical liturgical dialect of India, which according to certain beliefs, has great spiritual power. For Buddhism, a mantra is a sacred phrase that is uttered in support of meditation. These phrases act as a tool to free the mind from the constant flow of ideas.

It is proven that some sounds can have positive or negative effects on certain people. The sounds that are produced in a mantra are focused on the search for a higher entity. Many are of the opinion that mantras can become powerful enough to cure disease, promote prosperity, combat evil, etc. The most powerful being the mantras "Om".

For a mantra to be effective, it is necessary:

It must be pronounced both out loud and internally.

It must be repeated constantly and rhythmically.

By reciting the mantras, the person can relax and focus on his own consciousness, removing all kinds of ramblings from his head.

In order to understand a little about them, it is necessary to bear in mind that all human beings are connected in a certain way with the universe and that mantras, through the vibrations that their sounds produce, attract what you want since they coincide with the waves of the universe. Sound is what transmits the power of your desire through the mantra.

Mantras are considered sound symbols that work depending on the context and the mind of the person who repeats it.

There are different mantras, however the most popular is "Om" since according to the Hindu religion, it represents the creative sound of the universe and the beginning of existence. Buddhists often recite the "Om mani padme hum", for them this mantra is associated with bliss, meditation, patience, discipline, wisdom, generosity, and diligence.

While for the Hindus, the most enunciated mantra is the "Om mamah shivaia" which is interpreted as a reverence to the god Shivá.

According to tradition, each mantra must be enunciated 108 times, since this is the amount that is needed for the energy to be fully introduced into the body. The repetition rate should be fast.
