It is a kind of hormone that can be found in various living beings, from humans to maritime plants, whose main function is to keep abreast of the time that is passing to the body, as well as to modify the reproductive function and the heart rhythm, among others. Likewise, it is administered artificially to try to improve sleep disorders, such as insomnia or time zone syndrome.
