This word comes from the Greek term Meloidia, which means to sing. The word melody can be defined as the set of sounds that, when grouped in a certain way, can transform into a sound that is pleasant to the ear of the listener. Among the different types of melodies we have: the flat melodies where the sounds remain united, for example rap, we also have the wavy ones here we can see that the sounds rise and fall and it is what we usually hear in the songs.
For the melody to exist as such, it needs two fundamental elements that the composer must take into account, these would be emotions, creativity and all the sensations that you want to transmit through music. When listening to a melody we could have different reactions, which for some is a pleasant sound for others would be something without meaning, therefore it is something subjective of each person. When a person is moved by hearing a melody, it does not mean that we all perceive it the same.
A melody can be composed of a couple of notes or an infinity of them, the important thing is that these notes are grouped in such a way that the final sound is pleasant for those who listen to them.
