When the environment in which we live is neglected, there is a disapproval of our habitat, and when people are used as means to ends, there is a disregard for the rights of others.

The most serious cases of contempt and, of course, contempt are those in which fundamental rights that make life and the physical and psychological integrity of oneself, others and the environment in which we live are involved.

Contempt leads to discrimination against the other who we believe is less than ourselves, and this can lead to segregation and even the extermination of certain sectors of the population, as has been demonstrated historically.

This term is also used or it can be used to undervalue the material things that are in the market, for example: "the price of the property was undermined by the economic crisis."
