It is known as a white lie to the false statement made with the aim of being a little more benevolent, that is, it is done with the purpose of trying to make a truth more digestible, in order to reduce the damage that it can cause in a person. In general, this is used to avoid unnecessary friction, consequences or attitudes, which can be unpleasant for an individual, who generally believes that he will not be able to bear reality.
On the other hand, within the field of politics, the noble lie is used to refer to the falsehood of the rulers, which is usually used to preserve harmony within a society.
Since the origins of man, a series of debates of a moral nature have been established which are raised around the lie, where they establish that, beyond being a pious gesture, it is actually a lie purely. There is no doubt that behind a lie of this type there is always good intention on the part of the individual who has a benevolent attitude. There are also cases in which a white lie can be a resource used by one person, in order to provide help to another so that they can bear in the best possible way, a certain discomfort and at the same time, make the experience the least uncomfortable as possible.
The differences between a white lie and a common lie are not found so much in its content, but in the intention that produces it.
