The meridian is the imaginary line that allows the planet to be divided into two halves, this line passes through the poles (north pole and south pole). This division allows us to determine the time of each country or region that makes up the planet, which are constantly changing due to the rotational movement of the Earth.

The base meridian called "Greenwich Meridian" with the purpose of dividing the planet into eastern and western, the second recognized meridian is the one that rotates perpendicular to the Greenwich meridian, which is known by the name of "Meridian of the Equator" , dividing the planet into north side (top) and south side (bottom).

On the other hand, it can be defined as a meridian at noon, solar time basically refers to the time that elapses while the sun makes a movement on the horizon, at noon, the sun passes through the middle of the meridian reaching its maximum height in the sky. Because of this, the name meridian has been taken by different media, such as, for example, in the Venezuelan region there is a newspaper called meridiano in which news of sports practiced at the national level is given, this newspaper was created in 1969 whose founder He was named after Carlos González, has 40 years of experience, therefore it is the oldest sports newspaper that is circulating in Venezuela, it had no competition from 1969 (date on which it was created) until 2004 when a new sports newspaper was inaugurated with the name of "Leader" which is the product of the association between Cadena Capriles and the newspaper Marca from Spain.
