According to the severity of the changes, metamorphosis can be classified into two types: holometabola and hemimetabola; When we refer to a holometabolic metamorphosis, it is to mention a total transformation where the egg or initial form of that living being is totally different from the adult stage, for example: mosquitoes, they go from eggs to pupae later they acquire the form of larvae and finally to adult mosquito. On the other hand, hemimetabola metamorphosis refers to a more radical transformation where the initial form of the species is similar to the adult stage, however the only difference is the size of both, for example: lice, they pass from eggs to nymphs (nits) and subsequent to an adult louse; species of class insecta order Diptera (winged) when in nymph form do not yet have their wings. Another example of a hemimetabolic metamorphosis is the frog: it initially acquires the form of a nymph (tadpole) where it remains in the water until it reaches its ideal size, this being its crucial growth stage until its adult stage as a frog where its legs and legs develop. their lungs, allowing them to live outside the water.
