The Museum of Contemporary Art of Barcelona, legally its name is Museu d'Art Contemporani de Barcelona, is a room dedicated to the exhibition of works made in the mid-20th century. This is located in the El Raval sector in the city of Barcelona, a few meters from the Axis of Contemporary Culture of Barcelona. It was declared by the generality of Catalonia as a museum of national interest. The current director is Ferran Barenblit.
The museum displays works belonging to artists from the last 50 years of history. The museum was inaugurated in 1995 and its design was made by the American Richard Meier, in its interior contemporary works by artists such as Paul Klee, Antoni Tapies, Mario Merz, Francesc Torre and Zush are displayed, these artists sought to show in their works the legacy and citrus art that was established in the twentieth century, showing his way of seeing the political and cultural reality of the great city of Barcelona.
