Mustia is a word that is used as an adjective and applied to individual objects, plants, animals etc both. to indicate something that is withered or decayed. An example of this is when a plant or person is described as being withered, when it has an unpleasant or neglected appearance, that is, if it is applied to a plant, it is because said plant has an opaque color, likewise to a person it is because they look sad or have no spirits. The term itself derives from the Latin language, specifically from the word "mustidus" whose meaning is "viscous".
In nature there are many elements that intervene for a plant to have a healthy appearance or not, however there are a number of things that can contribute to a flower, shrub, tree, etc., becoming dull, the first of them is that the plant does not consume the minimum amount of water required by it, also the soil where they are found can have a great influence, since sometimes it is not the most suitable, although this may depend on the type of plant, temperatures also they have a lot to do with it, as many plants cannot withstand certain climates.
On the other hand, it can be said that a person is faint when he is in low spirits and the reason can be very diverse, but in general this attitude is associated with personal problems and certain situations that prevent the person from being in good spirits. Some of the situations that can motivate this attitude are the death of a very dear relative, the end of a love relationship, etc. which means that it is all those situations that cause sadness and melancholy that are mainly responsible.
Currently it is normal that this word is used in very diverse areas, such as in literature, however, it should be noted that its use in common and everyday language is considered a somewhat bizarre term, but if it is used in children's literature, verses, novels and plays their acceptance can be much easier.
