The word nomadic is used to define that which does not remain in a fixed place, but moves from one place to another. This notion is associated with the person who goes from one place to another without permanently settling in one place. Many of our ancestors were characterized by being nomads. However, this behavior gradually decreased over time, especially in industrialized countries.

Nomadic peoples are those who do not take a specific territory as a fixed residence; This allows them to have a very peculiar economic and social organization that is coupled to this way of living. It should be noted that there are several aspects that allow identifying when a culture or group is nomadic; one of them is that they are socially structured in the form of tribes or clans.

In general, these groups have a leader, who is the person who guides them, most of the time it is an elder, who enjoys all the respect and obedience from the rest of the group and who, due to his wisdom, is who determines, where to go and when to leave.

In remote times most of the peoples were nomads, since they had to move from one place to another in search of food, allowing with this action, to populate large areas of the planet, collaborating in some way to adapt to certain phenomena of nature, such as the glaciation.

Nomadic peoples were used to living in unfavorable environments, they take care of nature because they know that they will need it in the future, so their culture is oriented towards protecting the environment.

At present, the nomadic groups that are still in the five continents are in decline, this due to the constant war conflicts related to the possession of land, as well as the rise in industrialization and the unbridled use of natural resources that means a real threat to the environment.

According to the UN, nomadic peoples enjoy the right to have a cultural identity, to move within their patriarchal territory, even when it encompasses the political territory of various states. In the same way, nomadic children will have the right to receive an education. All this in order to protect the integrity of these peoples.
