The Objectivism is a philosophical school founded by the writer Jewish Russian origin - American Alisa Zinovievna Rosenbaum, also known as Ayn Rand, which states that man must follow a set of abstract principles to achieve harmony between thoughts and actions performed in society simultaneously so that "he lives a man's own life . " His philosophy, described in a couple of best-selling novels in the mid-twentieth century (The Spring and The Atlas Rebellion), Rand presents man as a being worthy of the earth that inhabits by his actions determined by what is prescribed in the principles of the objectivism.
The most elementary principle of Objectivism is the formula A is equal to A (A = A), this means that man must remove from his path any spiritual or religious belief that makes him think that reality is other than what is perceived with the senses. "Facts are facts" reads the metaphysical idea of objectivism, which contemplates the detachment of man from all desire or fear that makes him feel that the supernatural can be accepted as real.
Below we list the other principles that complement Objectivism:
- Epistemology: It is the element that allows the correct perception of the real ideas of man's environment, all reason must be concentrated in the use of the senses to capture all the elements that surround it, from here extremism can arise which determines turn the degree of security of the subject when performing their tasks.
- Ethics: one of the values accepted by the current maintains that reason is the only one capable of judging it at any time, no matter how complicated it may be. It is unacceptable for a man to stand without thinking or without the mindset and conscience. If the most important virtue of the subject is rationality to predominate on earth, he has to develop all the necessary tools to control his environment.
- Politics: Capitalism is the source of commerce within objectivism, the prosperous relationship between equals with a self-interest must be conceived under the principle of "a value for an equal value" . Its importance lies in the fact that in capitalism the rights of all are recognized, thus manifesting mutual respect between the negotiating parties.
- Aesthetics: Man as an ideal being turns out to be an artistic creation of the author, in her literary works Ayn Rand describes a perfect man, without the need for an unreal agent to complement his being, "I am Romantic in the sense that he presented to men as they should be. I am Realistic in the sense that I place them here, now and on this earth .
