What is hate? »Its definition and meaning

Anonim

Hate, according to the classic definition, is the state during which different malevolent emotions are experienced with respect to an object or living being, either because their existence causes displeasure and annoyance or is signifying a source of unhappiness. This does not always have a specific or justified cause; however, the aversion towards that thing can come as a small suggestion, because perhaps they have caused some damage to the integrity of the individual or someone close to him. Hate has been considered as the opposite element to love, because it leaves negative results.

Likewise, hatred can generate destruction; This is because the person under that attitude feels the main need to destroy, in some way, the object that is causing everything. Hatred of a person or a group of them is one of the most serious, because drastic measures would be taken, such as causing physical or psychological injuries and in extreme cases, murdering the hated subjects. Racism, for example, is a very common case of hatred; Discriminating against a person because of their ideology or philosophy, physical, social, economic and sexual orientation can be considered an infraction of the law if they are practiced any type of violence.

Throughout history there has been an attempt to define what hate really is. Philosophers believe that this is the notion that makes a situation wrong, in addition to the desire to abandon participation in it. For its part, in psychology it is said that it is more of an attitude, whose main mission is to annihilate the thing that causes repulsion. Finally, the latest medical research has shown that, despite everything, when a subject experiences hatred, certain patterns of behavior and stimulation of specific areas of it can be observed in the brain.
