Outsourcing is a term adopted by Spanish from English, although it should be noted that it is not available in the dictionary of the real academy, and the equivalent in our language for that word is “subcontracting”, “outsourcing” or “outsourcing”. The word is widely used in the business world to refer to the process by which a company hires another external company or organization, in order for the latter to carry out a specific task for the former. In other words, this procedure or techniques also known as outsourcing consists in that a given company hires another external company to execute or develop part of its production, take care of certain activities and tasks that belong to it or provide them with a particular service.
Outsourcing encompasses several areas, although today it is more common in human resources areas in payroll management, telemarketing, graphic design, accounting, customer service, engineering, content generation, and manufacturing. That usually includes specialties other than all those fundamental functions of the company or organization that hires.
Among the types of outsourcing that exist are: in-house, this particularly occurs within the establishment of the company that hires said service. co-sourcing, consists of the contractor offering a certain added value to his client or contractor, such as when risk is shared. Relocation or off-shoring, occurs when services are contracted to third parties that are in other countries but their costs are lower due to labor legislation, among other aspects. The collaborative, applied to the use of the capacity of those operations that produce articles or provide a service to a third party. And finally off-siteThis occurs when the outsourcing is carried out in the same company that provides the service or contracted.
