What is philosophical thought? »Its definition and meaning

Anonim

Separating the term, we have that thought comes from the Latin "pensāre", a word that means the action and effect of thinking, on the other hand, the philosophical word comes from the Latin "philosophĭcus" and this from the Greek "φιλοσοφικός" which alludes to pertaining to or referring to philosophy. Now philosophical thought can be defined as an impulse that the human being possesses, which allows him to differentiate himself from himself. It is a restless, free, nonconformist, theoretical, and totally speculative thought that seeks, investigates and examines the answers about certain fundamental facts that are not explained by science, and that lead man to be fully rational. It is not based on conjecture to feed or support its statements, if not on concrete and confirmed truths, to search or inquire why it starts and why things happen, relying on the confidence given in the ability of reason to find them..

Philosophical thought is freer and broader due to its nature of endless logic, since it does not allow itself to be imposed or dominated under any framework. In ancient times, specifically in Ancient Greece with Pythagoras, philosophical thought and reflection includes each and every one of the areas of human knowledge such as mathematics, natural sciences, astronomy and social sciences. At present, various branches have been derived from philosophy for the particular thought of each subject, we speak of branches such as metaphysics, theodicy, gnoseology and axiology. Finally, it can be determined that philosophical thought relies on trying to specifically answer and certify two basic questions, which are “where do we come from” and “where are we going”.
