What is abstract painting? »Its definition and meaning

Anonim

It is defined as the manifestation of abstract art in painting, that is, painting has abstraction as its main theme. It is considered abstract if it does not represent, in any sense, figurative painting, where scenes are represented as they are observed by the painter, without any alteration. This type of art is worthy of analysis by the observer, since specific scenes cannot be perceived, as they are a sample of feelings that are captured there. It has a wide range of techniques with which it is represented, taking geometric and chromatic abstraction as an example; in the first, resources such as abstract cubism are used and in the second, synchronism.

Vasili Kandinski was one of the pioneers who decided to paint a certain action, but without having an object to represent it in an external way; a very similar concept was that of Umberto Boccioni, who said: "My ideal was an art that expressed the idea of sleep without representing a thing sleeping . " Geometric abstract painting had its beginnings in Suprematism, by Kasimir Malevich, and abstract creations by certain artists. In this way the painting finished its creation, including a diversity of techniques and styles, accompanied by many ideas, so that over the years it was perfected, being today considered as "modern art" , completely leaving aside to the figurative art that reigned for most of thehistory.

Some of the best known styles of abstractism are: lyrical abstract painting, objective abstract painting, perceptual abstract painting, post-pictorial abstract painting, and non-figurative abstract painting.
