Classroom planning are classes prepared annually by each teacher and represent a proposal on what will be taught, the methods that will be used, the time that will take, the teaching resources that will be used and the opportunity in which each content will be introduced, all in view of the established objectives. The contents must be adapted to the general curriculum, and can also be adapted to institutional objectives.
Planning is establishing a path to an end, counting on resources and means. You are not acting randomly, you are thinking about how and with what, to achieve the objective. In the case of teaching, each class must be planned, so that it is productive and profitable, however from the school management this is not totally controllable, but what is mandatory is the presentation of the annual planning.
There are basic elements for good classroom planning:
- The analysis and systematic reformulation of the objectives and content of education at the respective level or modality.
- The objective evaluation of the educational results achieved in the average of the students. As well as teaching techniques and learning methods.
- The type or types of administration and organization of school work.
- The methods of supervision and evaluation of the didactic work.
- The didactic instruments The content and the methods of preparation of the educators. The analysis of the specific efficiency factors of each level and type of teaching.
Classroom planning takes place at the beginning of the school term and is planned for the entire year, so that surprises may arise, unforeseen events that impede development as planned or, if necessary, introduce new content. That is why the project must be open and flexible.
Planning is carried out based on the existing curriculum, the teacher's experience, the group's diagnosis and the existing pedagogical theories in this regard.
There are also judicial projects in view of demands, specific situations or specific interests of the group in question and that can be short or long term. They should be included in the annual planning, or incorporated into it later, if the problem arose after its preparation. Many times they include people outside the school institution, for example, making a school newspaper or radio.
