This term belongs to the religious or spiritual realm. The idea is to relate the end of something to the beginning that originated it and it is God who organizes this beginning. God is almighty and as such He even knows what will happen in the future. Know what will be the events of humanity in general and of people in particular.
If we are predestined, this means that we have been chosen. We have a gift, something special. We have been selected for a purpose and although there is no obvious evidence to prove it, some people are convinced that we are predestined. If they succeed, they believe they have fulfilled the great plans that were for them. If they fail, do not blame themselves for it, as they have been chosen for some reason of failure. Predestination has, from a psychological point of view, a great utility.
Considering that predestination exists and that there are predestined people is a general idea. It is defended by those who believe in destiny as the cosmic force that moves the world. Some philosophers and scientists use the concept of determinism as a principle that bears some resemblance to predestination. According to determinism, the phenomena of nature have their laws and mechanisms and nothing can happen apart from them.
The word predestination can also be used to talk about other concepts, such as the future, karma, the final judgment or destiny, all ideas pertaining to determinism, a philosophical doctrine that links any human action and thought to the cause-consequence chain, that is impossible to break
In the Bible, the words translated as "predestined" in the Scriptures mentioned above come from the Greek word "proorizo" which means "to determine beforehand", "to order", "to decide on a future time ". So predestination is God determinando de antemano ciertas cosas que sucederán algún tiempo después. ¿Qué determinó Dios de antemano? Según Romanos 8: 29-30, Dios predeterminó que ciertos individuos serían conformados a la semejanza de Su Hijo, llamados, justificados y glorificados. Esencialmente, Dios predeterminó que ciertas personas serían salvadas. Numerosas Escrituras se refieren a los creyentes en Cristo como elegidos. (Mateo 24:22, 31, Marcos 13:20, 27, Romanos 8:33, 9:11, 11: 5-7,28, Colosenses 3:12, 1 Tesalonicenses 1: 4, 1 Timoteo 5:21, 2 Timoteo 2:10, Tito 1: 1, 1 Pedro 1: 1-2, 2: 9, 2 Pedro 1:10). La predestinación es la doctrina bíblica de que Dios, en Su soberanía, escogió a ciertos individuos para ser salvos.
