The word preface derives from the Latin "praefatĭo" means "prologue or introduction to a book" or "part of the mass that immediately precedes the canon". The preface refers to a section or introductory part of a manifestation, in which it is of the prologue that is located at the beginning of a book or other type of printed work and that generally works as a kind of guide for the reader.
A preface in literature, it is an introductory and introductory piece that sits on the front page of a book. In the preface, the points used during the preparation of the text are known, which also corresponds to preventing possible objections or reservations, which correspond to criticisms already made to previous editions or to the progress of the work and eventually to give ideas or knowledge about the message that the author wants to convey with this document.
One of the prototypes would be that if the writing raises social concerns, the main or most important message that may be related to social organization, poverty, the difference in the distribution of resources, prostitution, violence, drug use and drug trafficking, among others.
The preface, on the other hand, is generally short when it is oriented and focused on being an observation and lasts longer when it includes prolegomena, in which it is the one associated with the introductory or background ideas, the motivations are the pointing or emphasis that is discovered in a subject towards a certain means of satisfying a need.
