Probiotics can be incorporated into the human body, through the intake of foods that contain them. It helps a better absorption of calcium and nutrients and helps to digest food properly. They manage to improve lactose intolerance. They help fight diarrhea and according to some research carried out, they ensure that probiotics are favorable in reducing the riskof colon cancer. Some of these "good" bacteria are: lactobacillus rhamnosus and lactobacillus acidophilus.

Probiotics are characterized by: their resistance to gastric acids and bile salts. Its ability to adhere to epithelial areas. Its ability to survive within the intestinal tract. Your ability to stay alive and stable during your activity.

Their effectiveness lies in the action they have against bad bacteria, since when probiotics occupy more space within the body, harmful microbes cannot reproduce and are more likely to disappear.

It is very important to bear in mind that although it is true that the intake of probiotics improves people's quality of life, it is also true that excessive consumption of them could harm health, causing conditions such as diarrhea or an intestinal infection.

There is a very similar term called prebiotic and it is good to be able to distinguish between them: prebiotic substances are lifeless, their only purpose is to promote the growth of “good” bacteria, while probiotics are live bacteria.

Both are important for people's health, so the presence of both organisms in the body is recommended, this can be done if the person: increases the consumption of fruits and vegetables, takes two yogurts daily, frequently consumes the artichoke, and it would be good if at the time of preparing the food a little onion or garlic is added to the food.
