What is procreation? »Its definition and meaning

Anonim

Procreation is defined as the action and effect of generating and giving birth to new creatures of the human species, by their multiplication. It is the human equivalent to animal reproduction, but being referred to people has a cultural connotation, because to the reproductive instinct a planning possibility is added so that the new human being joins the family to which he belongs, being desired and expected, to be able to grow and develop fully.

This form of procreation responds to a reasoned and estimated perpetuation of each one and as a consequence, of the species, it is called responsible, being the embryos conceived by adults responsible for assuming the upbringing and education of a human being in an increasingly world demanding.

There are two basic forms of procreation: asexual or vegetative and sexual or generative.

Asexual procreation is characterized by the existence of a single parent that partially or totally divides and gives way to the appearance of one or more organisms that will show the same genetic information. The main characteristic of this type of reproduction is that there are no intermediate gametes or sex cells, that is, a single organism is capable of creating other new organisms, and that the descendant organisms have almost no differences, and if there is one, it is caused by some mutation.

For its part, sexual procreation is the most common that occurs in complex organisms and is characterized by the participation of two cells, the gametes, which originate from meiosis and unite at the request of fertilization. In this case, the parents, who are two, transmit their genetic information to the descendants. Due to this situation, there will be genetic variability in the offspring.

Human reproduction takes place between humans of different sex, male and female. It occurs satisfactorily when the gametes on one side and the other, the spermatozoa on the part of the man and the ovum on the part of the woman, unite effectively giving way to the egg or zygote that from that moment begins to undergo a series of cell divisions in embryonic development that ends with the obtaining of an embryo.

Men and women are capable of procreating through their sexual development, but adolescent pregnancy is a serious individual and social problem, since the young mother is not physically prepared to carry out a risk-free pregnancy, both men and women. Women, young people involved in an early pregnancy should put aside their personal projects and, in general, resort to the support and financial support of their own parents, since they surely do not yet have a job, much less job stability.
