We use it in our language to refer to various problems. Its more general and wide use allows us to express through it the protruding part or the rounded bulge that a thing, a surface or a person presents, either on their body or on their face. That is to say; the eminence or bulge, in a rounded shape, protruding from a surface. The word protuberance is of Latin origin "protuberantia", from the verb "protuberare", composed of "pro" which means "forward" and "tuberare" which expresses "swelling".
They are caused by injury or infection. It is noteworthy that the lump is not synonymous with cancer or malignant cyst, since most cases are benign and harmless, and respond to a hormonal change, and that is why they appear and disappear.
However, in relation to the above, experts recommend that the person continuously touch their body and visit their family doctor periodically to detect any prominence and apply the appropriate treatment.
It is important to note that, in certain cases, lumps that appear on the body are the result of health conditions that require medical attention, such as a tumor.
Occasionally, as mentioned above, these bumps appear as a result of bumps or infections where pus has collected.
However, the ischial bone in the pelvic area, which together with two other bones, the elon and the pubis form the hip bone, has a natural bulge, called the ischial bulge, which is located in its posteroinferior part.
The annular protuberance is found anatomically, in the lower part of the brain, it is cube- shaped and white in color, and its function is to connect the medulla oblongata and the spinal cord, which is below, with the midbrain above. It faces the cerebellum and forms part of the isthmus of the cerebellum, which gives way to the nerve pathways. Also known as the brachiocephalic bridge or variola, it is the most prominent part of the brainstem.
In astronomy, the solar bulge is related to the cloud that rises over the edge of the sun, similar to the tongue of fire that emerges from the chromosphere. Regarding the aspect they offer, they are classified into two main types:
- Silent bumps; The form of clouds that slowly fall on the surface of the sun, are characterized by their short duration. Their appearance shows that they are made up of hydrogen, calcium, and sometimes helium.
- Eruptive bumps; They seem to spring violently from the chromosphere, and the spectrum of these reveals the existence of vapors of iron, magnesium, titanium, strontium and aluminum, and for those that are called metallic.
