It is inside the rib cage, protected by the ribs, and they are not always symmetrical, since the right is very close to the heart; it is completely made up of alveoli, which are highly mixed with the oxygen irrigation process.

It is considered of endodermal embryonic origin, as well as having three different areas or faces, among which is the costal, diaphragmatic and mediastinal; It has several arteries that distribute blood throughout its extension, so that it is maintained with constant oxygenation.

The coloration of the biological tissue changes according to the age at which the individual is, being pink in children, like adults, with the difference that some dark spots are distributed on the surface, as a result of the continuous inhalation of carbon and other components in high levels that are harmful.

Another important characteristic resides in the lubrication that the mechanism receives, due to the mucous membranes inside it, which are covered by tiny hair; it is hollow and the exponent on the right weighs, on average, 600 grams and the left one weighs 500 grams. It is considered that they not only fulfill a respiratory and a non-respiratory function, fulfilling in the latter the role of metabolic mediator, fulfilling specific functions.
