An X-ray is the process in which a machine generates an X-ray imitation that allows us to observe inside a body or object that needs to be seen in its entrails without having to open or uncover it. It is commonly a medical examination, in which the machine that produces the rays shoots its properties towards a person, resulting in an internal image of the patient. X-rays provide physicians with an important tool for studying the body of people and animals.
The main property of X-rays is to take a photograph of the body, avoiding the soft tissues, that is , muscles, organs, veins, fine tendons, among others. Because bones are solid compounds, they absorb rays. These, as they are not penetrated, generate a negative image on a type of special acetate sheet that is always placed behind the body to be studied, when the slide is revealed, the bones that take the radiation from the machine are seen as white, the tissues are not completely ignored, they are preserved but in a lesser tonality, say, grayish, being still useful for studying the anomaly. Finally, the bottom and large amounts of liquid are black.
The technique of radiography has evolved significantly in recent years, machines have also been adapted to offer a greater number of viewing angles and shapes. For example, panoramic X-rays allow a complete view of the entire human teeth, the appliance furrows a semicircle around the face, all teeth are shown in exact shape and dimension. The machines that emit these X-rays can be configured not only to move and capture different shapes, but also the degree of density and appreciation of the different types of tissues that it is capable of recognizing can be defined.
Another use for x-ray machines is for safety. The different transport terminals , both air and land, incorporate a weapons detection system, in which, without having to open passenger bags and suitcases, metal and weapon-looking items can be clearly seen, as well as they appreciate bones with ease, iron and aluminum weapons shine easily under an X-ray shooter.
