Realism is that way in which reality is presented as it is. In other words, it is when the holder of this position does not exaggerate or minimize a situation, but rather expresses or tells it as it is or it happened without adornments, or nuances. This is a word that contains endless concepts depending on the branch in which it is presented, for example: In the field of art, realism is known as the aesthetic structure that seeks to emerge a faithful imitation of nature. There are also pictorial realism (which reflects reality in pictures) and literary realism (which the texts try to provide a testimony about a certain time).
Realism has had expressions in the most diverse activities of the human being, in the arts as previously mentioned, literature, philosophy or law. This is also used in politics as it refers to the defense of the monarchy and royal power as a system for state administration; thus, those who favor the establishment, conservation or restoration of monarchical power are realistic.
To maintain realism, the individual or person must maintain an objective posture without being influenced by distorting feelings or thoughts about what is happening. You must see things as they really are. And do not get carried away by deception or manipulation, and even the very deception of opening your eyes and seeing a reality that you do not accept. In this subject the practical way of acting and thinking is of utmost importance: since the way of thinking and acting of a person is called realism. There are individuals who, due to their personality and character, are practical, and they solve the situations that are presented to them in a concrete way. While others act on the contrary with a lot of doubt, and they must consult with someone before making decisions because they do not have the conviction of doing it well.
