The term refers to the fourth generation of mobile telephony, representing the latest and improved version of itself, showing the greatest technological advances for its time, being better than its previous generations, but which in the future will be replaced by a fifth generation.
Telecommunications, like many other industries, have evolved over time. In this area, they have categorized the advancement of mobile telephony in the world, through generations (G), identifying the advance of each of them by means of a number (1, 2, 3, 4…)
Telephony was created in order to improve the quality and practicality of communication between human beings. The generations of everything that makes up mobile telephony began at the end of the seventies and the beginning of the eighties of the 20th century with the Analog Network, which was the first generation, characterized by working only for calls.
Then came the second generation, known as Digital Globalization, which was characterized by the great impact of the evolution of mobile phones, which began to be manufactured smaller, more advanced and with a much faster connection. Also began to use text messages.
Subsequently, the third generation was given, called High Transmission, which allowed users to start sharing data and voice at the same time, through video calls, in addition to downloading applications for the cell phone, being able to view videos and use email to a speed of 384 kilobytes per second.
Finally, the Futuristic Speed arrived, which is the name given to the fourth generation of mobile technology, which is characterized by using IP networks (Internet protocol), in which the signal reaches the telephone by the confluence between the networks that are it carries cables and wireless, being a system and a network at the same time, exclusively used for what is known as Smartphones (smart phones), wireless modems and other devices.
The speed of transmission and reception of the signal must be a minimum of 100 Megabytes per second in motion and be capable of reaching 1 Gigabyte per second in idle state, allowing a better experience for users and even the possibility of watching movies and television. in high definition without any inconvenience or pauses due to slow downloading of data.
The fourth generation has the goal of using the network anywhere and anytime.
