The relevant word has its origin in the Latin "relievens or relievere" whose meaning is "to raise, raise, erect, etc." In this case, to be able to say that something or someone is relevant, it must be subjected to a comparison, which should preferably be done with something belonging to the same species, that is, comparing two or more objects, animals, actions, among others, for example " today the tennis match was more relevant than last week ”.
In the world of comparison, to indicate what or who is more relevant than the other, it is necessary to do so by raising a list of priorities or hierarchies, since that which has a higher degree of relevance will always top this list. It is also essential to bear in mind that the relevance depends on each individual, since what is relevant for me does not necessarily have to be for you, personally everything will depend on those priorities or life projects that each one chooses to its development, for example: Among the tastes of a person could be technology as a hobby and the launch of a new product would be relevant, but for those who do not catch their attention it will not have any importance.
On the other hand, with regard to social welfare, collective interests should always be more relevant than those of a single individual, understanding that if there is any approach to a problem or situation in a community and in this case the beneficiary is one alone and other citizens would be harmed, the option of benefiting a single subject should not be taken as correct.
