In the religious sphere, the situation in which a person returns to life after having died is called resurrection. This is also used with the sense of being renewed as a person, of being new or having a life. In colloquial uses, it generally refers to the renewal, either of an object or person, after going through a difficult stage (loss of popularity, illnesses, among others). It has been present since immortal times in the collective culture, especially representing in an imposing way the divinity of some beings; was a common element in Greek myths. This word has its origin in the Latin word "resurrectio", used by the church to refer to the moment in which Jesus returns from the dead.
Various myths harbor references to the resurrection; However, these are very present in the so-called “mystery religions”, where the initiates hoped, with the practice of the preached teachings, they would be able to achieve eternal life through the resurrection. This can be observed in the different religious rites that were carried out in life, in addition to following a series of rules that would end up giving the follower a status of " saint " or "learned".
In the Bible, for its part, the resurrection occurs on various occasions. By acts carried out by Jesus or someone sent by God, characters that play an important role in the development of history are resurrected. However, the best known and the basis of all religion is the resurrection of Jesus Christ, after the crucifixion is over.
