A magazine is a private or public publication of regular edition, about a particular topic or different topics of general interest or entertainment and that are generally illustrated. Almost all magazines have, which allows them to pay production costs. Magazines are marketed, while there are others that are distributed free of charge.
The origin of the magazines dates back to the year 1663 when the German publication was published for the first time: “Edifying Monthly Discussions”, after that, magazines of different types began to be produced in England, Italy and France.
Magazines differ from newspapers or newspapers in their content; since the newspapers generally are focused in the transmission of news or events of the daily occurrence; While the magazines provide a much more complete treatment of the issues that are developed at the level of entertainment, scientific, artistic film, children, sports, fashion, political and economic analysis, among others.
In addition to this, they are characterized by being printed on a higher quality paper, with optimal binding and with more space dedicated to graphic documentation.
Currently, with the heyday of new technologies, they have given rise to two events within the context of magazines: the first has to do with the emergence and development of digital magazines, which are not produced on paper, but rather the reader can read them over the net. The second is that magazine publishing and printing companies also present a digital version, this allows the reader to choose the option they like best.
