What is organ? »Its definition and meaning

Anonim

It is a polysemic term, from which different concepts emerge. First, the word organ is used to refer to biological tissues, which are designed to perform certain functions and are found in living beings, where they help the body to function properly. They are made up of cells, which over time multiply and make the object they make up grow.

In human beings, among the parts that make up their biological system, are the heart, which pumps blood throughout the body, the lungs, allowing respiration, the stomach, where food is established after chewing and the intestines, those that digest food and extract substances that can nourish the body.

Similarly, there is the Hammond organ, a musical instrument similar to the piano, with the difference that it is smaller and is completely electronic. It is widely used to recreate sounds that the piano itself cannot produce, to add different components to the musicalization that is being made. Similarly, the chamber organ, a keyboard that was thought to be adaptable to private rooms and therefore for exclusive use in them. The tubular organ is that common organ, which shares characteristics with the Hammond, but is not electronic.

Also, organ can refer to something that makes up an organization, that is, to the group of people who come together for a purpose and create a kind of identification with the group; although, it can also be used as a general definition of the community itself. It may be the geological formation, which arises as a result of volcanic activity.
