The word Security comes from the Latin securitas , which in turn derives from securus (without care, without caution, without fear of worrying), which means free from any danger or harm, and from the psychosocial point of view it can be considered as a state mental that produces in individuals (people and animals) a particular feeling that they are out or away from any danger under any circumstance. Security is the guarantee that people have of being free from all damage, threat, danger or risk; it is the need to feel protected, against everything that may disturb or threaten their physical, moral, social and even economic integrity.
Security has two dimensions: individual and social. The first refers to the care that each person takes, so as not to submit to risks that endanger health and life. The Social Security refers to the set of laws, agencies, services and facilities that cover and protect some needs of the population, such as health, pensions, subsidies, etc. It is very important to know that security implies the correct way of doing things; Hence, it is so necessary all the greatest effort that is dedicated to the elimination of dangers and prevention of accidents.
The term security is used in many contexts; there is safety at work, which is a very important and determining factor for the proper functioning of the place where you work. There is also industrial safety, it is the set of knowledge applied to prevent work accidents in industries.
The national security that is used to refer to threats or risks that come from the outside of a state and which affect or call into question its sovereignty and thus their ability to safeguard their own both territorial integrity and institutional.
The security is discipline, techniques and tools designed to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of data and systems. There are other types of security such as food security, ecological security, economic security, citizen security, road safety, among others.
