Snapchat is a mobile application that is considered part of social networks, but what is different from the others is that it allows the sending of photos and videos through this application to other users and that after a few seconds they are instantly deleted from the device to who were sent. Created by American students in 2010 in order to send private and live messages to other people.
Artur Celeste, Bobby Murphy and Reggie Brown, Stanford University students, were the ones who developed the application that allows you to take photos, record videos and add texts and drawings to them by sending them to a list of contacts which is limited. Snap is the name given to these types of photographs and the user can control the time in which the other person can view the image, (between one and ten seconds) at the end of this time it disappears from the recipient's phone screen and is deleted from the server of the application.
In 2013, users sent an approximate of 14 billion photos a day, the rise of Snap was such that at the end of that year the company was valued at 10 billion dollars.
Snapchat can be used on both iPhone and Android for free and for over 12 years through time evolved and in 2014 allowed that could send money through the application relying on a system of security shielded to prevent fraud.
Worldwide, the application is one of the most downloaded like Facebook, Twitter or Youtube.
