It refers to everything that originates or has a connotation that groups the social, with the political. It represents the crossing of two sciences, sociology and politics, thus studying the phenomena, applications and structure of politics generated from a social perspective.
In this way, socio-politics evaluates and measures the influence or impact that politics has on society, even in any aspect or event that is of a political nature.
This is known as the politicization of society, that level of interest that society has in the political sphere, since there are many nations where their citizens have little interest in politics, they only assume their duty to be a good citizen and do asserting their rights, such as suffrage (in democracies), while in other cases, for different reasons such as a political situation, economic crisis, presidential assassination or any other fact of great importance for the country, generates that the citizen and the society as a whole pay close attention to politics.
The state and its actors (president, governors, ministers, among others) are kept under the microscope of society, which constantly evaluates them.
The study sociopolitical and analyzes the behavior of society on politics, the effects that this causes, the acceptance or rejection of the people towards the government of the day and the consequences of such acceptance or rejection.
There are countries that have a balanced socio-politics and maintain an environment with a good quality of life. On the other hand, there are nations where socio-politics is in critical condition. For example, in Venezuela, the socio-politics suffers a critical moment, where its citizens live in a state of tension on a daily basis. The political current that settled in the South American country in the 21st century, was very penetrating, both in the minds of millions who became followers of the cause, as well as generated millions of people who were placed at the other extreme, in opposition to the political ideology of the current government.
This type of situation can generate intolerance, discontent in the population, clashes between the parties and can lead to serious conclusions, such as a civil war.
In this way socio-politics is of utmost importance in a society. It is the task for the rulers to keep their population informed about their actions, measures and decisions, so that the population feels confident and there is a quality of life.
