The term suggestion derives from the Latin "suggestio" and is used to refer to the psychological process through which a person or entity that has access to information and has the ability to transmit information, is in charge of guiding emotions, feelings, behavior and thoughts of another person, that is, through words or deeds suggested by another person or thing, an idea or thought can be generated in someone.

There are a variety of methods that can reach the suggestion in a person. One of them is through direct suggestion, which is nothing more than introducing an idea into someone by resorting to the authority that one has over said subject, which is subject. Hypnotic suggestion on its part is presented by means of hypnosis, which is a stateof the mind where verbal stimulation is used to induce a kind of trance and that the subject who is in that state can be introduced instructions which after the trance must follow, this can be used as a psychotherapeutic technique to treat certain symptoms as catharsis. On the other hand, indirect suggestion is made at the time of introducing ideas to a certain person but not directly but as a hint, which the person will later adopt as a true and proper idea.

There is no doubt that of all the techniques of suggestion used, the most important is hypnosis, as it is one of the first psychotherapeutic forms that were used and even today its use is still in force in European countries, implementing hypno-analysis and emotional discharge methods, waking sleep is another of the modalities used, this consists of the implantation of the dream to a person through an initial image.

Some experts believe that suggestion is exercised by everyone, since everyone has influence over another, be it a son, father, brother or grandfather, whom they can persuade by leading them to convince with their arguments. A clear example are sellers, since they specialize in convincing buyers, using in certain cases the argument that they satisfy a specific need and therefore the client considers it essential for their day to day, so it ends buying it.
