The term topical can refer to that treatment whose route of application is the outer part of the skin, these being mostly creams. This type of medicine is very common to treat injuries such as minor burns, in which it is tried to relieve pain and create an effective layer of protection, in addition to other wounds, it is also very common to appreciate some products that are intended to heal temporarily muscle aches or reduce inflammation in certain joints, one of its most outstanding characteristics being the fact that it simulates a state in which the skin has a low temperature.
Similarly, "topic" can also be related to the use of an idea considered cliché or vulgar because of the number of times it has been used, creating an image around it of a concept that is simple and lacks any originality.
Another of its uses, very close to the previous one, is what can be called a literary topic, an expression that seeks to capture all that formula used in a story or poem, which had already been used by someone previously. For example, one of the simplest sequences to be found in contemporary stories, in which two individuals fall in love, sporadically separate for some reason, and then rejoin at the author's decision, for an epically happy ending. The drama that could be seen in Shakespeare's plays is now one of the sources that inspire love stories, which are guided by a series of unfortunate events. Literary topics can easily become a reused and unoriginal idea, that is, a commonplace.
