It is the texture that is appreciated with the sight and with the touch, and that once we have observed and touched we can know or describe the texture that a surface has, which could be rough or smooth, or with reliefs. Texture is one of the key elements in art and graphic design, observing textures requires the use of both sight and touch, this being a fundamental exercise for students of these plastic arts careers.
This technique also known initially as the frotagge or rubbed obtained where texts modeled in blocks of wood and stone. We can make textures even from home, feeling with our hands, fingertips, any surface such as in the garden, the walls, the floor, among others and thus with the view we try to capture the shadows and brightness that come off them. These textures allow us to describe the external surfaces of things or objects and the sensations that they cause when they are felt through the sense of touch.
But not only sensations are perceived through touch, but when we observe a texture without touching it, psychic emotions come, for this reason the tactile texture goes hand in hand with the sense of seeing and touch. The textures are obtained by mixing opposite textures that can attract attention and generate impact at the moment of touch, taking into account, of course, that it will depend on the workplace where it is going to be applied, since there will be places where the texture must be of smooth surfaces.
