Totalitarian political regimes emerge in the contemporary world or in underdeveloped countries, a form of government that was observed in a period marked by the crisis of the capitalist system in some parts of Europe. Defined in a more basic way, totalitarianism refers to any type of present government, where a single individual, party, or political entity controls the various organs of the state; at the same time, this scheme defines a panorama in which the governmental power has broad powers to intervene in the lives of its citizens.
To achieve a better understanding of how totalitarianism works, we can mention some of the ways in which the government manifests its presence; In the political sphere, this form of government does not accept the existence of multiple guidelines from political parties, that is, it is identified by having only sympathizers to the president's parties in command, in this way totalitarian regimes prefer to recognize or register the presence of a single party.
In the economic sphere of a totalitarian nation, in general, state-owned companies have a great economic presence, operating mainly in the sectors of basic industry (such as agriculture) and technology; These being the basis for the development of other sectors, so that they prosper economically.
Regarding the freedom of expression of the people, for all those who are against it, repressive instruments will be used, they will be made available to the State, so that their interests for the management of the people are immediately fulfilled, justifying all actions in against the people, in the name of unity and national interests.
