The word tour has two main meanings, among them, to describe the trip or excursion that is made to know a place; In other words, it is the tour made up of a group of people with a prior plan, usually carried out by a tourism agency or company. Another meaning is attributed to the tour, or set of performances by a musical group, singers, etc., in different locations and stages. According to the royal academy, this term has another meaning apart from the previous ones mentioned, although it is very little used, and it is to name the period or compulsory service campaign of a sailor. The word tour comes from the French "tour" which means tour, or also return, but in turn derives from the Latin "tornus" which has the same meaning.
There are different types of tours, such as business tours, which are usually free or inexpensive and are intended to teach and present an establishment or promote a product as such, among others.
