The etymology of the word travel comes from Catalan (one of the languages spoken in Spain) “viatge”; and this from the Latin "viaticum" which means "way". The word travel refers to the action and effect of traveling; that is, it is the transfer that an individual makes from one place to another, whether by land, air or sea. In other words, a trip is the change of place or site of one, or a group of people, carried out in means of transport, or perhaps on foot. It is important to note that said transfer or movement from one place to another can reach different periods of time, it can be from a few minutes to several days, months or perhaps years.
A trip can be made for different reasons, whether to migrate to another city, country or region, for business, to visit family and friends, to study and train, to work, or perhaps to flee from a war, among other reasons.. One of the most common reasons why a trip is carried out is for pleasure or recreation, and here the tourism industry comes into play, which when it is international generates a significant income of foreign currency, among other reasons.
