Widowhood is the state to which a person passes after having lost a spouse through death, if he is a man, he is called a widower, and if he is a woman, a widow. The state of widowhood is considered one of the saddest because it means that one of the two people who decided to form a couple is no longer there, and it is even worse if there is already a family in the middle.

Being aware of this can help us to value life more, to enjoy the present and bonds more, and to be more prepared for our own death and that of others.

In our culture there are patterns that determine a time of mourning that ranges from six months to a year. After that time, people are expected to show signs of recovery from the loss, or to have already recovered. Throughout this process, women find new ways to organize their lives. Like all crises, it is an opportunity to put into practice your own resources and creativity applied to life. The challenge posed by duels is to learn to let go, and to live from the present forward.
