The word voting can be defined as the action and effect of voting; and this refers to the fact or act of giving your support to something or someone in particular, expressing your opinion or point of view either in a political election, meeting or deliberative body. In other words, the word voting is the transmission of votes made by a certain group or group of people.

Voting can be nominal, that is, when it is carried out by giving the name of each voter, this happens in certain corporations and in parliaments; In addition, voting can be secret, unlike the previous one, the name of each of the voters involved is not known and it is carried out by means of unsigned ballots; Finally, it can be ordinary, which is very common. This is done by each voter standing up while others remain seated, or it can also be done by raising their hands while others do not.

One of the main characteristics of a democratic political system is voting, there is talk of the free effective participation of a certain people, when choosing their rulers or representatives, in this system the vote represents a constitutional and political right that each individual enjoys or possesses at his disposal. It is important to highlight that the vote has two levels, the active one where all people have the right to cast their vote in order to choose who will be the people who will govern or represent them in the positions to be elected; and on the other hand the liability, which comprises the right of each person to be able to show themselves as a candidate to be able to represent a position.
