Use screen saver or not on iPhone?
I've been using iPhone since iPhone 3G For you to situate yourself, I've been using this device from Applesince 2008 and, I have to tell you, everything has happened to me. I think I remember it was with the iPhone 7. One day I removed the screen protector (it cracked) and the case and I was amazed at the change in experience offered by the smartphone without any type of protection. From that day everything changed.

For a while I used the iPhone without any protection. Being able to use the screen without a protector was a wonderful leap in the way of using the mobile. Not having to notice the step of the tempered glass, the roughness of some cracked area, the famous bubbles, the corners where it does not adhere well was something from another world.
As for the back cover, say that after a few days I had to put it on.I have a big hand and the iPhone kept slipping. I needed a cover to, apart from protecting the step of the rear camera, prevent any fall from the mobile from hitting the edge of it and cracking the screen.
That's why ever since that day I've been carrying the iPhone with a back case and no screen protector.
I have to say that the experiences of some of you, regarding removing the tempered glass from the iPhone, motivated me, even more, to stop using them.

I also think that the screen saver makes the iPhone hotter. The screen itself emits heat and if you put a glass on it, the device will get even hotter. I think that can influence both performance and battery life.
And why would I want to pay so much money for an iPhone, if I don't enjoy it as it is?The use of the screen without a protector is an important leap in quality and must be taken into account when installing, or not, the tempered glass. If you have never done it TRY IT!!!.
Then I advise you, depending on your way of using the mobile, on whether or not to put that protection on.
DO NOT put screen saver on iPhone:
At first it's hard, but I advise you not to put a protector if you are a person who is very careful when using your iPhone. If you decide to do it, you should assign it a place in your bag, shoulder bag, or pants where you should carry it alone.
I use a shoulder bag and I have a pocket assigned to it, in which I always keep it upside down, to protect the camera glass. I also store it with the screen facing in, to prevent it from being exposed to a possible scratch from something I might stick in the adjoining compartment.
If you are not one of the people who usually drops their mobile phone a lot, they usually leave it to children taking that little bit of care that I have mentioned, you can use the phone without a protector and you will see the quality leap in the user experience.
IF put a tempered glass on the iPhone:
You don't pay much attention to your mobile, you put it in any pocket without looking for keys, coins, you usually leave it with children so I recommend putting a protector on the screen.
In any case, if you are one of the latter types of people and want to try wearing it without a protector, you can always take out insurance that covers a possible breakage of the iPhone screen .
Me, being careful that I have mentioned in the section about not using a protector, I have been using it for years without it and it has never broken and I have never had a major scratch on the screen. Micro-scratches yes, but nothing appreciable.
