Lock access to apps

A while ago we taught you how to set a password to access applications on the iPhone It was a way to prevent access to some other app that you don't want anyone to access . Personally, it's something I use a lot on the iPad, since my son's access to certain apps is limited.

Today we are going to teach you how to configure a limit on the use of apps so that, when activated, we cannot access any or all applications except one that we want to avoid that block.

We have to say that some apps, if not used during the day, will allow access for only 1 minute. After that time they will be blocked.

How to block access to apps on iPhone:

For this we are going to access Settings / Time of use. Now what we have to do, first of all, is create a code in the "Use code for "Use time"" option. Once configured, we enter the option "App use limits" .

Click on “App usage limits”

Now we will click on "Add limit" and to access the configuration it will ask us for the security code created. Upon entering we will see this:

List of app categories on iPhone

If you want to block access to all apps, check the “All (apps and categories)” option. If you want to leave any to use, you simply have to mark them all except the one you want to leave operational, which in my case I always leave Chrome . To do this, display the categories to search for the app. To mark entire categories simply click on them.

So you can block access to applications

Now click on "Next" and select the minimum time that these apps can be used before blocking them. Since you cannot put zero, we mark 1 minute and also activate the option "Block when reaching the limit" .

We select the blocking time of the apps

Now click on "Add" and we will have it configured.

To use these limits we must leave the option “App use limits” checked. If we do not want to use those limits, obviously we will have to deactivate it.We say this because we probably don't always want to have this limitation activated and, surely, we will only want to activate it, for example, by leaving the iPhone to another person.

Turn it on when you want to block access to apps

A good tutorial that we hope you liked and that, above all, you find useful.

Greetings.
