What's new in iOS 15.0.2, WatchOS 8.0.1 and iPadOS 15.0.2
New versions of iOS 15, iPadOS 15 and WatchOS 8 are coming to our devices . Some minor updates that make our iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch much more secure and that also correct some bugs detected in previous versions.
Many of you complain about the many updates that Apple are releasing lately. versions to make our devices safer and more "sleek" in their operation.
It's true that in the past there weren't as many updates released as now, but also keep in mind that the operating system was not as "open" as it is today.
What's new in iOS 15.0.2, WatchOS 8.0.1 and iPadOS 15.0.2:
iOS 15.0.2:
The new operating system for iPhone brings the following fixes:
- It was possible for photos saved to the photo library from the Messages app to be deleted if the associated message or thread was deleted.
- The connection between the MagSafe Leather Wallet for iPhone and the Find My app could fail.
- AirTags may not show up in the Find My Items tab.
- CarPlay may experience problems opening audio apps or disconnect during playback.
- Updating or restoring the device using Finder or iTunes could fail on iPhone 13 models.
iPadOS 15.0.2:
This new version of the operating system for iPad brings the following fixes:
- It was possible for photos saved to the photo library from the Messages app to be deleted if the associated message or thread was deleted.
- AirTags may not show up in the Find My Items tab.
- Updating or restoring the device using Finder or iTunes could fail on iPad mini (6th generation).
WatchOS 8.0.1:
The new version of the operating system for the Apple Watch includes improvements and bug fixes:
- Progress of software updates may not display correctly for some Apple Watch Series 3 users.
- Accessibility settings may not be available for some Apple Watch Series 3 users.
Updates to iOS 15.0.2 and iPadOS 15.0.2 are free to download and the software is available on all wirelessly compatible devices in the Settings app. To access the new software, go to Settings/General/Software Update. On Apple Watch you must go to Settings/General/Software update to update to WatchOS 8.0.1
