New update for AirPods
A new firmware version is here for all wireless headphones from Apple. With it come interesting news, especially the AirPods PRO and the AirPods MAX.
The version of 4A400 is coming. If you want to see if you have it installed, open the headphone box near the iPhone to pair them and then go to Settings/General/About/AirPods . In this section you have to see the numbering of the version that we have mentioned.
The Conversation Boost function arrives and the compatibility with the search app for AirPods PRO and AirPods MAX:
The update brings performance improvements and bug fixes. In addition, it also provides support for Conversation Boost for AirPods Pro.
Announced at the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference in June, Conversation Boost harnesses microphone technology and machine learning to isolate people's voices. The feature is tuned to focus on a person speaking directly in front of a user, making it easy for AirPods Pro owners to only hear the person they are speaking to, without noise from background.
Also the new firmware offers improved support for the company's Search application and the accompanying search network. This allows users to view their location, apply “Lost Mode” options, and locate lost hardware via “Find Nearby” .
This improvement to the Search app was expected to roll out with iOS 15 last month, but Apple delayed the release without explanation.
Unlike the AirTag which integrates an ultra-wideband chip for precise searching, compatible AirPods models are based solely on on Bluetooth signals to communicate with nearby Apple devices so they can be located.
Separation alerts are now supported, which means that users can choose to receive a notification if they are accidentally separated from their AirPods .
Owners can also mark compatible models as lost and choose to display contact information or a personalized message if paired with another iOS device. Notifications can be received when headphones are found.
New firmware is automatically installed for users, with no mechanism available to manually force an update. As long as AirPods or AirPods Pro are in a charging case and connected to a iOS device, the firmware will install itself. Here is a video that can help you in this regard:
