News in iOS 13.2 for Homepod

If you have a Homepod you can update to the latest version compatible with this Apple device. Specifically, version 13.2 has arrived and if you haven't updated yet, what are you waiting for?

It brings interesting news, although the most awaited by all of us is currently not available for our language. At the moment, voice recognition is only compatible with the English language. We hope that it will soon reach our language.

After the jump, we'll tell you all the news and how to update your smart speaker on the block.

News from iOS 13.2 for the Homepod and how to update it:

These are the new features coming to the speaker:

  • Multi-user support. The Homepod will be able to differentiate the orders according to the person who gives them, up to a maximum of six users. When it detects the user through her voice, it can offer personalized music, messages, reminders, ideal forHomepodused by several people within the same home or office. At the moment, as we have mentioned before, it is only available in English.
  • Now we can listen to music, podcasts and calls by bringing the iPhone closer to the HomePod. This is thanks to the Handoff function. Accessing the settings of the iPhone Settings/General/AirPlay and Handoff we can configure it.
  • We can add music to your different Homekit environments. We can create these environments thanks to the new actions in Shortcuts.
  • The update also adds ambient sounds that we can play on the speaker, including sounds of waves, birds in the forest, or rain. To do this we must say, for example, "Hey Siri, play bird sounds" .
  • If you like to fall asleep to ambient sounds or music, you can set timers to turn off playback after a certain amount of time.

We can also listen to music stations on the speaker, thanks to iOS 13.

What do you think? We have loved all the new features except for being able to use multi-user support.
