How have you been able to verify, our objective is to bring the saws, cutting discs, files closer to the entire block that appears on the screen and discard the parts that do not belong to the object that we have at the top of the screen screen.
The intricacy here is not to bring the block we want to free too close to the saws. A small slip can make us start the level over again.
Recommendation: Guide yourself through the light areas. As you move the blocks closer to the discs and saws, they become lighter. This means that those light areas are the ones that are going to be filed down.
As always, as we go through levels things get more and more complicated.
