New way to manage subscriptions
Finally Apple has taken the step of making the way to cancel subscriptions from our iOS devices more direct and simple. Now it's much easier and we won't have to go around as much as before.
We remind you that before you could cancel subscriptions from a remote place in your iPhone and iPad settingsMany people did not know how to stop making those periodic payments for app services, streaming music and kept paying without knowing how to cancel it.
Since the iOS 12.1.4 update, the folks in Cupertino have listened to all of us and we finally have a much more direct way to do it.
How to stop paying for an app, Apple Music and services linked to our Apple ID:
We explain everything in the following video:
It's as simple as following these steps:
- Access the app from the App Store.
- Click on our profile image.
- Select the "Manage Subscriptions" option.
From there we can cancel, renew or simply see what services we are subscribed to.
You can also do it the old way, but it's a bit more complicated. We remember that it was done as follows:
- We access Settings.
- We access the “iTunes Store and App Store” option.
- Click on the “Apple ID: (our linked email)” button.
- Choose the option “See Apple ID” and put the corresponding password that it asks for.
- After this we look for the "Subscriptions" section.
Now everything is more direct, fast and simple.
Remember that it is very important to keep this in mind, especially when running trial periods to use some applications. We will enjoy a free period but if we do not cancel the subscription, we will be charged at the end of that period.
This is why it is very interesting to keep in mind the new way to cancel subscriptions from iPhone and iPad.
Greetings.
