Emojis are part of our lives. We use them to communicate on many social networks, be it Instagram, Facebook and, mostly, on WhatsAppMore and more emojis have been added to the catalog and for next year 2019, with the arrival of Unicode 12, there are a number of candidates to be part of the catalog.
These new emojis for 2019 accommodate many more people than today
Apple will include the emojis released with the so-called version number 11 later this year. These emojis are gradually being implemented on different platforms and include superheroes, mango or kangaroo as an animal, but the candidates for 2019 and 2020focus on the diversity of people.
Thus, among the different emojis that are running as candidates for Unicode Emoji 12 are the guide dog for blind people, deaf people who in the emojis are representing that they cannot hear, or people in wheelchairs both genders. These emojis of people with special needs were proposed by Apple itself.
The emojis of interracial families
In addition to these emojis of people with special needs, all kinds of couples and families are also candidates. Thus we find interracial couples of both sexes as well as families with also interracial boys and girls.
These new candidate emojis join a previous list that included the flamingo emoji, the ice cube, the slothor the waffle among others. As you can see, since the first yellow emojis, a lot of progress has been made and more and more people have a place in the more than used emoticons.
We will have to wait to see which are part of the final version but including emojis of people with special needs is, at least, a good initiative to accommodate a lot more people.
