If you are a customer of one of these two banks, now you can add your cards to Wallet.
BBVA and Banca March are now compatible with Apple Pay
Finally, after a long wait, the last major Spanish bank, BBVA, is now compatible with Apple Pay.
A few weeks ago the bank announced compatibility with the Apple payment system.
And finally today was when it was announced that this option is now available.
In the same way, Banca March has also announced today its compatibility with Apple Pay.
So BBVA and Banca March are already compatible with Apple Pay.
It does not seem that there is any limitation per card, in principle it should be possible to activate all of them, regardless of whether they are debit or credit.
Currently in Spain all its large banks are compatible with the Apple payment system.
Giving all users of an iPhone or Apple Watch the opportunity to make card payments with one of these two devices.
If you haven't tried it yet, we recommend it, as it's very convenient to pay with iPhone or Apple Watch, without having to remove the card from the purse or wallet.
How to add cards to Wallet
It's a really easy process:
- Open the application of Wallet
- Click on +
- Fit your card inside the rectangle that appears on the screen.
- Add the information requested
- It will ask you for confirmation, sending a code via SMS.
Done! You already have the card added to your iPhone.
Next, if you have an Apple Watch you'll be asked if you want to activate it there as well.
Just click on continue and your card data will be loaded into the App on your watch.
It will also ask for confirmation via SMS.
Done! You already have it too.
Remember that to pay you only have to make two short consecutive presses on the unlock button (or power on/off) if you have an iPhone X and show your face to activate the card.
Once confirmed, move the device closer to the dataphone.
If you have an iPhone with Touch ID you must also perform two short, continuous presses on the Touch IDand leave your finger to read your fingerprint.
