Youtube Music and Premium Services
We already warned you a few weeks ago. Youtube launched its Premium and Music services,but we were left wondering when we could enjoy them in our country. The unknown has been cleared up and, finally, we have them here.
Watching one of our videos we realized it. And it is that the option “Download” the video appeared and it has caught our attention. We have investigated and we tell you everything below.
Youtube Premium and Youtube Music available:
The Google video platform gives us two options:
Youtube PREMIUM:
Youtube PREMIUM
- No ads and offline. We can enjoy YouTube content without ads, offline (we can download videos) and in the background.
- YouTube Music Premium. New music streaming service from YouTube that will allow us to enjoy a world of music without anything interrupting us.
- YouTube Originals. We will access the new original series and movies from your favorite stars.
The price is €15.99/month after a 3-month trial period, completely free. (Doing it from a computer or from the web browser you use in iOS, the month costs €11.99/month.)
It also has a Family subscription system:
1 month free trial after which €22.99/month will be charged and will only be valid for up to 6 family members (over 13 years of age) in the same household. (Subscribing from a computer or from the web browser you use in iOS, the month costs €17.99/month.)
Youtube MUSIC:
- Listen in the background and without interruptions. The music will not stop when we lock the screen or use other applications.
- Music without ads. We will enjoy a world full of music and without ads.
- We can download the content and listen to our favorite music wherever we are, whether in the air, underground or off the map.
The price is €12.99/month after a 3-month trial period, completely free. (Doing it from a computer or from the web browser you use in iOS, the month costs €9.99/month.)
It also has a Family subscription system:
1 month free trial after which €19.99/month will be charged and will only be valid for up to 6 family members (over 13 years of age) in the same household. (Subscribing from a computer or from the web browser you use in iOS, the month costs €14.99/month.)
Difference between both Youtube premium services:
Apparently Youtube PREMIUM is the most complete service because it allows you to access all kinds of videos. YouTube Music + YouTube Originals + all YouTube ad-free, with background playback and downloads.
Meanwhile, Youtube MUSIC only allows you to access all the music on YouTube without ads, with background playback and with the option to download it. It has its own app.
It's up to each person to pay €2/month more for a more complete subscription or pay €9.99/month to just enjoy their music service.
How to subscribe to Youtube PREMIUM and/or Youtube MUSIC:
From a computer:
From a PC or MAC we will click on the icon of our profile photo (in the upper right part of the screen). Now we will see the option of paid subscriptions .

By clicking on that option, we can choose which service to subscribe to.
From an iPhone or iPad:
We access the Youtube app and also click on our profile image. This is at the top right of the screen.

As you can see, the options to subscribe directly to Youtube PREMIUM appear or it allows us to access the two subscription services to choose the one we want.
